Ingredients
  

  • 5 skinless boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 pound 450g asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh cracked black pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon + lemon slices for garnish
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red chili pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the chicken:
  • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and place them on a shallow plate.
  • Season the chicken:
  • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mixture generously onto the chicken thighs. Set aside.
  • Preheat and cook:
  • Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380ºF (190ºC) for 10 minutes.
  • Prepare the asparagus:
  • While the chicken is cooking, toss the asparagus with garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a shallow plate.
  • Add asparagus:
  • After 10 minutes, flip the chicken thighs. Add the seasoned asparagus to the air fryer basket. Continue cooking for 7–8 more minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF (74ºC) and the asparagus is tender.
  • Serve:
  • Sprinkle the chicken and asparagus with chopped parsley and red chili pepper flakes, if using. Serve immediately with lemon slices on the side. Enjoy!
