These easy jalapeño poppers are a game day favorite! Jalapeños are stuffed with a creamy cheese filling, topped with a buttery bread crumb crust, and baked until perfectly golden and bubbly.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 jalapeños
  • 6 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives optional
  • ¼ cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wearing gloves, slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise. Use a small spoon to remove seeds and membranes.
  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, garlic powder, cheddar cheese, and chives if using.
  • In a separate bowl, mix Panko bread crumbs with melted butter.
  • Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture. Top with the buttered crumbs.
  • Place on a baking pan and bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

💡 Notes:

  • Wearing gloves helps avoid skin irritation from jalapeños.
  • Optional garnishes: cooked crumbled bacon, green onions, or hot sauce.
